Florida's Scott *just* declared that all "school-hardening" capital expenses will take priority over any other spending.

Who reviews and approves the capital spending of the schools?

The local sheriff's office.

Anyone else familiar with game design or economics recognizes this pattern?

What is school-hardening? Armed guards, training by the sheriff's department, steel doors, bulletproof glass....

Based on the impressive performance of the four sheriff deputies at Parkland I am sure Floridians are breathing easy knowing that their education tax dollars have now been submitted to their local sheriff's office.

Oh, and crazy that have been actually sent to mental hospitals cannot keep their guns. Well, they can get them back, but they must wait 60 days after asking for them back.
