Anchoring off overnight of Ile de Re w/o instructor for first time. Best 40th birthday possible. 13 knits of wind from the north but can't feel anything but very gentle sway. Quarter moon above the aft rail in partly cloudy skies. Kyle was my crew; casting off dock lines, taking the helm, and paying out anchor rode. Now the boat is snug with anchor drift alarm set...
