I was surprised how cool Miami was, growing up in Hollywood (CA), I had arrogant pre-conceived notions of Florida. But Miami surprised me, I love the rich Cuban dominant culture. I liked hearing Spanish again, and overall I thought the people are very friendly.

Really dug the Wynwood area with Panther Coffee, Coyo, Kush, The Butcher Shop, and THREE micro-brew pubs. The food was outstanding in this area.

It rained all week so I did not spend any time on the beaches, but hey I have been spoiled now by awesome beaches.

I was able to get all of my errands accomplished:

Testing for the master's exam: written, medical and urine

Got a new passport good for another 10 years

Did a bunch of online shopping of cool electronics kit for Ad Astra

My dad generously shipped me our Pacific facing crusing guides

And I straightened out my banking to have no fees overseas.

Whew.

All that is done, but I just want to get back to my family Kaiwen Bethke, Kyle Bethke and Max Bethke. It has been fun to be a normal consumer for a week, but I want to get back to sailing and exploring.
