Yesterday I made a very modest wooden castle for my good friends' child's birthday.
It came out okay, but it is not worthy of pictures, and it took longer than I would like to admit.
But the toddler wiggled and shook with pure joy today when they saw the castle on their doorstep (social distancing).
The young person scooped up the castle with both hands and looked me in the eyes and said "thank you!".
That kid. Man, I was chewing on my lip if the castle was any good, but the wiggles! Wow!
I am still feeling the stoke for helping a lighting up that little person's day.
Life is good.
