Either way on Kavanaugh, the GOP loses:

1) They ram him onto the SC. The optics of their raw use of power and disregard for any form of common sense or morality. This action:

A) further alienates independent women, minorities and others that *might* have voted GOP

B) enrages the left to unprecedented levels to further motivate what is expected to be record midterm democratic turnout

C) takes away one of the reasons for the GOP to get out their vote (they filled the open SC seat)

OR

2) they force the alleged serial rapist to withdraw

A) Takes 10-14 days to identify their next pick

B) Will not be able to get the SC seat confirmed before the election

C) Gives the democrats a HUGE reason to turn out and vote - win majority of the senate and they have an SC seat to deliver a centralist - or both parties fight trench warfare for 2 years over this seat and we go into 2020 with an open seat

D) depressed GOP turnout as they just lose the nomination of Kavanaugh in the most public and humiliating way - further underscoring Trump's weakness and the GOP's weakness overall

It is Lose. Lose.

I have to hand it to the Democratic Party, they are working together like a well honed set of attack wolves. They are not bleating out "Impeachment" to give the GOP any existential sound bites.

Instead they are holding Trump and the GOP up on a butcher's meat hook and simply taking their time cutting and carving.

Once the Democrats win the house in November, they will have hearings and investigations one after another, all piled together.

We will get all of the Trump family's taxes. We will get money transfers from Russia. We will get shady business loans and money laundering.

The Democrats are not going for a quick Impeachment. No. Instead they will slice, and bleed the GOP all the way through 2020.

Trump and this GOP have cheated so much and for so long they cannot see how much their political credit cards are maxed out. They have no more dirty tricks, and their polls ae the worst in the recording of polls.

2020 is going to be the true blue wipe out. 20 GOP senate seats vs 10 for the Dems in play. The Democrats will win POTUS as unlike HRC, there is no one else in the Democratic party that the GOP has been able to think ahead and invest their hate machine.

The Democrats could run anyone, and that person will not be carrying that false bag of mega hate as HRC was carrying. Any Democrat could win.

And yet the Democrats have a number of people with their hat in the ring who are exciting choices, women, minorities, even some youthful and successful white guys.

2018 - I am going to make the easy call that the Dems get the house, and by the very skin of their pinky toes the GOP end up 50-50 in the Senate with Mike Pence the tie-breaker.

But again from 2018-2020 it is going to be a non-stop destruction of the GOP party.

Look for the GOP to implode, and simply go back to simple obstructionist tactics when free from the burden of leading and governing from 2022 - 2030.

The GOP will try to reinvent itself over the this coming decade and to wash away the stain of the MAGA doctrine.

But demographics are not on their side. As quickly as they attempt to wash their wands. Their non-college educated, angry white males will be dying of even faster rates as their life expectancy continues to slide.

Meanwhile the hispanic vote will continue to grow and then dominate - fueled by the backlash against the hateful policies of the MAGA regime.

Finally in 2030, the census will happen again, and the gerrymandering will dramatically swing in favor of the Democrats.

The Democrats already enjoy a 3-5% national advantage in the popular votes, when tied into a lock on the gerrymandering system and ever increasing hispanic voting blocks. The GOP will be unable to win a POTUS again, and increasingly their gerrymandered senate and house seats will be flipped on them.

By 2040 the GOP will be a permanent political minority with less than 35% of the House and Senate seats.

They will increasingly start to make deals and alliances with the pro-corporate arms of the Democratic party.

In this backdrop climate change continues to get worse, the income inequality continues to worsen and the Fortune 100 continue to dominate against all other small and medium companies.

By 2050 I see the progressive/green/labor side of the Democratic party split off and formally call themselves the Social Democrats and the classical Democratic Party will absorb the remnants of the GOP.
