Question for product managers, what would the expected decline in engagement in social media if our society was primarily rational?

For example, if we had gun control like a modern country, universal healthcare(no medical BKs), free education, livable minimum wages, paid leaves, etc etc.

What would the impact be on facebook, twitter and the news media?

5% decline in revenues? 15%? 20%?

This is not hyperbole. The world's best at online analytics work at fb. They know absolutely how much the gun carnage delivers in terms of posts, likes, comments and pageviews.
