I have to take off my shoes and belt and suffer the TSA to catch the people on the no-fly list.

But the people on the no-fly list are vigorously encouraged and protected to buy guns by the GOP.

Why? Is it for freedom? No. We are manifestly lacking freedoms and losing our bill of rights and the 2nd amendment folks are not blazing down rogue cops and protecting us.

Is it to make money for the gun companies? For sure, it is $30B of fear porn a year, but even that doesn't feel satisfying. For we blow $1T a year on War and $150B a year on Law Enforcement, and we handout ~$500B a year in corporate tax evasion. So is it the money? I don't think so. I certainly helps, but that isn't it.

Is it radical Christians trying to bring about the End of Times? probably for them, sure. But as many of them there are and as crazy as they are and yes they are the #1 source of terrorism, they are not the ones behind this crazy gun culture.

Is it Libertarian super-hero wanna-bes? Nah, they certainly love their guns, but they are no masterminds.

So why all of these guns? Hang on a second and think about this:

The guns are hear to enslave us. We are being enslaved by fear. All of these groups have overlapping interests in keeping Americans fucking afraid. Rather than old-style enslavement via physical control, we are being enslaved by fear.

Because of the guns, the cops have shoot to people in split seconds.

Because of the guns, radical extremists can shoot up anyone they want

Because of the guns, angry drunk men can kill their wives and girlfriends

Because of the guns, rogue cops and racists can kill whoever they want and just say I was afraid for my life.

Because of the guns, we have lost the protections of the 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, 13th and 14th amendments.

Back when there were castles, the lords would worry if the peasants have swords or guns.

Today the lords live in untouchable sky-castles and pass out guns and fear and have the peasants kill each other. The guns cannot touch the 0.1%.

Guns are a tool to stoke smoldering flames of chaos to have never-ending War and Prison and Poverty.

Now there are a lot of problems, there is mental illness, there is fear mongering, there is corruption, racism, income inequality. And yes each of those is complex and related.

But guns are an amazing technology - for a tiny amount of physical effort and very little skill anyone can press the button and kill another human - so easy even a toddler can do it. That makes guns Different. They are not knives, ropes, chains, or dental floss. They are instant death buttons.

We could attack the corruption, we could attack the income inequality, we could attack mental illness, we could attack racism. But the violence from guns is sucking up all of the oxygen in the room. Some days we have 4 and 5 mass shootings a day. It is completely insane how tolerant we are of this institutionalized terrorism.

Guns are enslaving and killing us.
