Happy Father's Day Neil Bethke!
You are the guy that turned me on to computers and games. When you were working at the federated group in west Los Angeles I got to play with the commodore c64 and Vic 20 and the Atari 400 and 800. I remember copying all the games from the manuals and magazines in basic and with some pokes and peeks. For hours I would tweak and hack and the hours would fly...
I remember you teaching me to love the Pacific Ocean and taking me to Topanga State beach on Sundays, and camping with Grandma June at Sycamore Canyon.
I remember you starting me off in electronics with an AM radio circuit project and an amplifier.
You taught me the value of friends and living in the moment.
You are always a ready to explore the world and can find delight with learning anything.
And you have always been mellow in a way I have yet to master.
This micro culture of yours dad I have been adding to: we have friendly open fire pit that reminds me of Canby. the sailing adventures on Sparhawk and now Ad Astra are literally sailing past the kelp forests of Topanga.
And my boys have had so many adventures and they have many more to go. They approach the world open and happy like you.
Thank you for all of you love, guidance and I look forward to many more adventures via Bethkania culture!
Erik, Kyle and Max
