You know who is going to block self-driving cars?

Police and municipalities.

Imagine the financial meltdown they would have if we had self-driving cars (and by that time pot is legal). 90% of the police would be redundant. (If they are not already.) And all of these city budgets would crash.

They simply cannot let us have self-driving cars or they will cease to exist.

Google is going to have to write them pension checks.
