Today I learned that we had 81% of Americans turn out to vote in 1860. Lincoln won *both* the popular vote and the electoral college - despite the slave states removing him from the ballots.

... I am ignorant of much of the civil war....

.... Because I didn't think learning about the civil war was as important as learning to code.

I thought this shit was settled.
