Second day in Guatemala.
Amazeballs cool. Will post more formally soon.
But met a middle class family where the mom owns a flower shop in Guatemala City.
She has national health insurance for all the basics. I knew this.
But she also pays $3k a year for her family to have private American health insurance that covers cancers, organ transplants and all other catastrophic care for her family of 5!
It is cheaper to buy the American health care system, from outside.
I just shake my head.
