For the love of God, so help me if another one of your players gets caught on video beating their wives I will fine you $1.5m under section 9.13.
How hard is it for you to teach your players where security cameras are found? Elevators, hotel lobbies, ATMs, most retail stores. C'mon guys! It just isn't that hard to get your guys to know where the cameras are.
Sure, some of us may need to hit our women from time to time if they get uppity. But it is just stupid to do that on video. As long as it was just a he said, she said, Americans will look past the bruises and focus on next week's game. We can shuffle this off to the local cops and prosecutor, and we would expect just a 3% conviction rate – years down the road. Heck, by that time the player in question might be injured and used up – no harm, no foul. This just good business sense, and I am looking to you guys to conduct your teams with good business – or we will fine your ass.
Once again, you gotta teach your players where the cameras are. Have them watch 24, or rent out a freaking LazerTag course and hit them with a laser every time they get caught on a camera. I don't care what you do – but the league will not tolerate another screw-up and so we have to go with zero tolerance for domestic violence caught on video.
