Ross Perez and I drank a couple of Duvels here as we thought about the day. Pretty epic day:
1) Max completed his open water training with Ru Did Act. And Rudi is crazy rigorous. When Kyle and I trained our instructor was like, can you clear your mask? Great - have fun. I lost track of how many dives and days Rudi spent with Kyle. If you want your children to really know SCUBA, I cannot think of anyone with more patience, great attitude and a seriousness for getting it right.
2) We caught a super delicious mahi-mahi. We had it both as sushi and cooked with garlic, olive oil and basil pesto. To be honest the sushi was far superior.
3) Kyle and Ross caught 10 more lionfish. Making it around 70 here in Martinique that we have taken care of.
4) We did our first live boat dive with Ad Astra in the lee of HMS Diamond. As I suspected it was easier to keep Ad Astra on station that I had feared.
5) I had my first father and son dive with Max in the shelter of the headland between Grand and Petite Anse. It was right before sunset and it was such a mellow dive with a spectacular amount of reef fish.
6) Then we BBQ'd pork ribs to go with the Mahi.
Killer day.
