So I got busted today. The cops came to my house. No charges were pressed.

I have been eyeing a pile of scrap wood at a house construction site a block from my house for a month or two. There were some nice 2x12s that I thought would make great raised beds.

So, being Earth Day weekend and a bright sunny Sunday I helped myself to some of this pile next to the construction dumpster.

An hour later an Austin cop pulled up to my house and explained that one of my neighbors called the cops on me.

Good thing the wood was still tied down on the roof rack, and so it was easy for me to take the wood back. It was harder for me to appear sober though after a couple pints of my double IPA on the kegerator!

Afterwards the cops called the contractor and he said the owner has plans on not dumping the wood but taking it to his ranch and making something. That is cool, I just didn't want it to go waste.
