I repaired this set of kitchen tongs today

I repaired this set of kitchen tongs today. The red plastic fell off the metal. First time giving it a go with cutting some metal bars and smashing the pins. It worked out okay. The wenge did crack in two places, and these are very narrow bits of wood. But that is a very strong hardwood and now it is in service again. I like learning how to do these basic repairs.

I also hope that Trent Oster cringes at how ugly it came out! :-)
