Mark Blyth is in my opinion the strongest modern economist.

I have been binge-watching his YouTube videos. They are all awesome. Then you watch another economist's video and it is like watching and economist.

Mark Blyth is a UFC MMA fighter, knows his shit from micro to macro, global and domestic, and is in no way a liberal elite.

While he detests austerity (rightly), he is far, far from being a DNC liberal, nor is he a classical conservative. You gotta watch him.

He also hates the Euro, and thinks that Greece should just bail now - and makes compelling arguments why it is inevitable.

One small gem I learned from him, it is obvious in hindsight:

Germany *uses* Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain and France to *mask* the true strength of the [German] Euro in order to practice currency wars and ship BMWs and Audis to North America and the rest of the world.

I will buy you a drink of your choice if you didn't think these talks were worth your time. And two if you thought it was.
