Woo-hoo! The Lake Travis is up 25 feet over 30 days ago! For the first time in many years the lake is more than half-full.
Coming from LA I find all of these wild thunderstorms and winds crazy fun. No damage to us, but one of our favorite late night markets with a great craft beer selection (not WhipIn) got partially demolished when a full billboard came crashing down on it.
And yesterday there were 4 small tornados rolling around within single digit miles. But no damage to the house, and we stayed inside all day working on electronics packages.
I understand a whole family was lost on the Blanco river when the vacation home they stayed in got swept away. I have to admit I do not understand how that happens, even without the weather alerts on your phone every 15 minutes, nature herself gives you plenty of warning. Hopefully, I remain ignorant of how this happens.
