If you don't keep up with right-wing think tanks, CATO is the most intellectually rigorous of the Libertarian strains in my opinion, funded largely by John Malone.
They *never* align with progressives unless you are talking basic facts and reason.
These guys would have billioniares tax-free and have the working poor pay all the taxes for the priviledge of working.
CATO says this is bullshit.
