I woke up from an experience hard to describe:
I was dreaming a lucid dream where I knew I was not in a normal world. It was like a very high definition pixelated minecraft world, but beautiful with hyper HDR colors and skies. A little like a world made with Bryce.
But I knew this world was false and I wanted out. I started to get anxious and knew I was dreaming, so I was looking for clues of how to escape. In my twenties I used to experiment and exercise lucid dreaming and I would use a purple fire hydrant as a clue. Couldn't find one. Looked for a yarn or a rope that would lead back to the dimension that I came from. Couldn't find one. Finally I relaxed a little and woke up from that dream world and arrived in Culver City, California!
We just sold our house in Austin, and apparantly we bought a house in Culver City of all places. It was morning and I needed some caffeine, so I locked the house and jumped into my car and went to a coffee shop.
But when I wanyed to return to the house, I couldn't remember the address, and I left my phone inside the house. And I couldn't think of a way to find my way back to the house and phone.
Then I realized I was still dreaming. I started to worry about how many layers of dreams was I under and will I find my way back to Ad Astra.
After the appropriate amount of worry, I was released. But it tool me a while to understand I was back on Ad Astra and it took some effort to remember we were anchored off of PTP, Guadeloupe. It was 3am when this went down. I got up walked around making sure everything was okay and went back to sleep and regular, forgettable dreams.
Just sailing, diving, caffeine, beer and rum behind this.
