Turns out that the hen that hatched back in September is a rooster.

While we were working on the new workshop bench Max was first to notice that romance has returned to the backyard.

This is especially cool as this young rooster is one of only 2 chicks that survived the fall Racoon reaping, the old rooster and far too many hens were taken before a combination of trapping and reinforced battlements stopped the murders.

The chicken cycle of life at Bethkania continues!
