Had a lot of fun at the PKC Individual Tournament of 2016. Kyle and Max both took 1st place in sparring for their age and advanced belt divisions. They won decisively, collectively they scored 20-4!
Max also competed in forms and came in 2nd place with the strongest he has ever performed - really surprised Sensei and me. Both Kyle and I chickened out of the forms side of the competition.
I came in 3rd place in sparring for the first time in the advanced (albeit "executive" age class). I was ahead 4-1 in my first match against the 6'6" guy who would go on to win first place. But, I was rather shocked I was so far out ahead, I promptly gave away 5 answered points. :( Came back later with another win to salvage 3rd place. Overall I was happy with a good mixture of hands and kicks, still need to move my head more.
