I am still trying to process how Chris Verstappen has passed away, so soon. He was so strong and ornery!
He was that most passionate and amazing technical diving instructor that my whole family spent last summer in Bonaire training with.
A true water sensei.
I loved how he didn't care for anyone else's rules, but his own. He lived absolutely his way and did what he wanted to do everyday.
Regardless of his long history of diving achievements and the countless divers he has trained and dives led, his fierce Independence is what I most admired.
The local fish and corals will miss him as well as all of us.
Little aspects of Chris will live on with our adventures...
