This whole Citadel owning the books behind RobinHood - is so ghastly corrupt - I fail to find words.
This reminds me of the time I was counting cards in vegas for mice nuts - $2 to $10 a hand. They shuffled up on me 3x.
I asked for the pit.
Me, "Why are you shuffling up on me?"
Pit, "We don't know what you are talking about."
Me, "Hell yes you do. But here is the thing. If I grind through the whole weekend and I make - what maybe $20. I go home and say woot! I beat blackjack! And now my friends will come out and just gamble - maybe 1% of the people will put in the effort to learn to count. You are losing money by shuffling up on me."
Pit to the dealer: "Stop shuffling up on him."
That is what is going on with Citadel and Robin Hood. They are shuffling up on small-time counters.
By now shutting down the buy orders, but keeping the sell orders alive - it is so freaking blatantly rigged - that I am apoplectic in struggling to find the words.
What the SEC *should* do is come in hard and let the market just play out. Perhaps after the short squeeze we could have a committee look into it and see what, if anything we need to do to protect our hedge funds from our retail investors. But mid-game?
Not only is it unfair - it is also short sighted - it is just rapidly eroding further confidence in the American economy and market systems being fair and confident systems.

The celebration aged fast — written the very next day, the mood shifted from glee to fury when the house changed the rules mid-game.
I am so, so enjoying this:
