When rich white guys say they are tired of political posts, or when they tell everyone how smugly happy they are to hide other people's political posts:

Of course, I first think of how privileged they are to not care about the damage towards other people.

Then I think a bit more, and then I think what kind of narcissistic asshole do you have to be - to not only - *not* be aware of your privilege and utter indifference to your fellow citizens...

... But on top of that you are craven enough to seek approval from your Facebook friends for being a crappy human.

Then, I think how did they get to be that successful - when they lack so much awareness?

Then I think: maybe they are successful because our society rewards those that exploit others.
