If you ever need your phone repaired - seriously consider buying a ticket to Cancun, grabbing a rental car and head down to Playa de Carmen and go to GeekPlaya:
On Monday I had to meet someone in heavy rain and put my phone inside the pocket of my foul weather jacket. But the rain was so heavy I still ended up getting water inside the Pixel 2.
It got stuck in an endless reboot loop while sitting in a bag of rice to no avail.
The guy that runs the shop had never seen a pixel 2, but he radiated a strong confidence. So I gave it to him.
He cleaned out the water and discovered a pair of connectors that had corroded to point that it caused the reboot failure. He installed new connectors and my phone was ready when quoted.
Total cost for the repair? $27.
